What we do
Research
Decisions on health require best available, current, valid and relevant evidence.
For more than five years H-PON in collaboration with University of California, the Tanzania Ministry of Health and other stakeholders has been working on finding better ways to reaching the 95-95-95 goal through strengthening continuity of ART care and improve testing.
H-PON has implemented a series of AFYA research project; AFYA 1, AFYA 2 and AFYA 2 phase II in Mwanza, Shinyanga, Geita and Kagera regions of Tanzania to see how cash and food assistance can improve ART adherence.
On sexual reproductive health, H-PON has and is implementing research studies targeting young adolescents. Currently H-PON is implementing a research study to evaluate ambassadors for health; supporting adolescents and young girls health through girl-friendly drug vendors in Mwanza and Shinyanga.
